How to Make YouTube Videos With Your Dog

I started making videos with my dogs and this article is about how you can make funny videos too. This page will give you step by step instructions to create a great dog related YouTube video. When you make a video with your dog I recommend rewarding it with a doggie treat.

Step 1.

Know your dog. By that I mean you should know what your dog is good at. Can it perform tricks, ride a skate board, play games, etc. For example my dog is very cooperative (because he likes treats) and I create videos called "Spy Dog". When you find out what your dog can do then start thinking about your video.

Step 2.

Category. This step is so important under the circumstances that YouTube categorizes their videos. I made a list and this is what some of the categories you and your dog can do vides under.

autos and vehicles
comedy
entertainment
film and animation
gadgets and games
how to and style
music
news and politics
people and blogs
pets and animals
sports
travel and places

All of these categories are listed when you are uploading a video. Let's say if you make a video with a dog acting as a clown then you would list it under the category of comedy. Because it will be funny.

Step 3.

Gimmicks and props. This step is fairly easy. If you are going to make a video with your dog acting as a clown then you are going to need a clown outfit, a red nose prop, funny shoes, etc. You can purchase these items at Petsmart, Wal-Mart, Petco, Dollar Tree, and even on eBay.

Step 4.

Making the video. When making the video you a going to need a camera. A good brand name camcorder such a Sony, Canon, or a Flip video would be decent. Cell phone cameras don't record in a good enough video quality to be posted on YouTube.

Step 5.

Uploading. To upload a video simply go to YouTube and click upload. Follow the step by step instructions given to you on the YouTube website. Now you have your video posted!
