Cooperative learning and science
He is the co-operative learning have a place in a training school? Of course! Cooperative learning is another technique that is learned during a career in teaching. A former colleague of mine used to say, "steal with pride." We must be careful not want to be taken literally, but what he meant is that we learn from others. Teachers are sometimes the best students. We learn from others in the area,Mentors, colleagues, coaches, speakers, or any other variety of people who are a useful tool to add to our repertoire. These people teach us what works and what does not. We hone our skills until they feel more effective in our teaching style. What can I do in class, after more than eight years in the classroom is very different from my first year.
Many people believe that learning to use something that is cooperative and medium primary schools. If these people are teachers, managers and parents, really have it all wrong. Although cooperative learning works well for the younger classes, schools are strong, with equal success using the techniques.
Cooperative learning techniques in a room for students to grow large structure. Several techniques can really help students achieve better academically. Too often, teachers ask students to do together in small groups"Working Group". This is not cooperative learning. In the group setting to work to change a few things, but most are not positive. Sometimes the student is the highest achievement is to do all the work for fear of getting a bad grade. These students will receive the answers to the rest of the group. Other times, students will work share a number of questions and answers then. to work in a group of four, with a total of four questions, each student would like to add just one question and thenthe other three answers that others have done. This is not cooperative learning. If we can get the high school level, our students are mature and know how to play the system. Students achieving below to find one of these "outputs" rather than participate, and thus have less information is presented.
In a true cooperative learning environment, students are all called to respond individually and everyone in the group learn the material. All students have role in the group and from each other on each. This method actually helps students achieve more through a part of a real team. to participate, students and, consequently, lower by an amount equal to all other learning. The whole class benefits from this approach. Mature high school students tend to approach this, because they see results quickly. You will enjoy the hotel instead of "defense for himself" attitude of the groupto work.
There are really no limits to where cooperative learning can be used. Youth in the elementary school level students together for a final project, cooperative learning is useful at all levels. Just because we grew up, does not mean that we can work together towards a common goal. Finally, the majority of occupations, a land in which our students will need in their work as part of a team. Cooperation is the key to asuccessful future.
